Rio (MEDICAL HOLD)
Rio is super sweet and handleable, and he is used to being the center of attention. He does well with other birds and loves to learn new tricks including indoor flight recall.
Spray millet and nuts are his favorites, and he will happily work for a snack. Since he’s settled in at his foster home, he has been working on positive reinforcement target training, and he’s been taking to it really well.
His forever home will continue his training and work on his flight conditioning. He was originally clipped by the pet store where he was purchased, and now that his feather have molted, he is ready to hit the flight gym and improve his skills. Over time, he would love to learn how to fly up and down flights of stairs and navigate corners and boomerang maneuvers around the house.
If you love having a constant companion that just wants to see what you’re up to, and you are ready for the experience of training an enthusiastic student that works for almonds, please consider filling out Rio’s adoption application form.
